Informatica Cloud Services are specifically designed to meet the data integration needs of line-of-business users. Based entirely “in the cloud,” Informatica Cloud Services make integrating cloud-based applications such as Salesforce CRM and on-premise databases and applications data quick and easy. Informatica Cloud Services can be used to integrate SaaS applications with a variety of common on-premise systems and databases. Requiring very little training to set up and administer, Informatica Cloud Services can also be used to synchronize and replicate data between local databases and files.

Data Quality
Informatica Cloud Services allow you to measure and monitor data quality in the Lead, Opportunity, Contact, and Account objects within Salesforce CRM. Data quality dashboards allow you to quickly identify duplicate, incomplete & inconsistent data and automated scheduling allows you to easily monitor and maintain ongoing data integrity. Pre-packaged Global Address Validation and other data cleansing capabilities are also available.
Data Replication
Informatica Cloud Services allow SaaS administrators to easily automate the replication or archiving of data in cloud-based applications to on-premise databases, csv files, or Google spreadsheets. With Informatica Cloud Sesrvices, you can set up data replication to run every few minutes and leverage your in-house business intelligence tools for enterprise reporting requirements.

The Data Loader is a free integration service for salesforce.com customers that automates the loading and extraction of data between Salesforce CRM, flat files, and relational databases and provides limited scheduling capabilities. In 2008 and 2009 it was recognized as the #1 data integration application on the AppExchange.
